Something Unusual That Happened Today
As I’m typing right now, something very peculiar and mysterious happened moments before. I can still feel the shivers running down my spine and could not get it out of my head. It was roughly around 11:15pm and most of my family members were fast asleep in their bedrooms. Only my sister was outside watching some Korean dramas. I was busy surfing the internet to finish up some of my projects. At the same time, I was also figuring out what to type for my final English assignment post. As I was sitting there staring at the computer, my sister and I both heard three distinct knocks on the front door. KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK. Usually when somebody came to our door, we would hear the footsteps first followed by the doorbell. But this time, we heard nothing and that person didn’t even ring the doorbell. My sister called me to look who was at the door without turning her head. As I was walking towards the door, a million thoughts raced through my mind. Firstly, I assumed that the newspaper man would collect money for the newspapers we had received. For the past few months, the newspaper man had come in the middle of the night to collect money. So I was pretty confident that he was outside the front door. Without looking through the peephole, I swung the door open.
There wasn’t a single soul in front of the door! It was just dead silence. I waited and looked around. Maybe the newspaper man had gone to my neighbour’s house. But the more I waited, the creepier it is. The night was so silent that I could hear a pin drop far away. I could not stand it much longer so I closed the door shut. I turned my back towards the door and decided to head back to my computer. The moment I took a step forward, I heard foot shuffling just outside my door… I froze there without moving an inch. I regained my senses and swung around. This time, I followed safety precautions to look through the peephole before opening the door. I levelled my eye with the peephole and looked through it. I was staring into empty space and that started to freak me out. Chills ran down my spine and goose bumps started appearing everywhere on my body. I could feel my hair on my head starting to stand. Without a moments delay, I brisk walked my way to the sofa and laid there. My sister looked at me and I stared back. I broke the silence and asked whether she heard foot shuffling outside the door. She said no and continued watching the Korean dramas. It was like a bomb had exploded in my heart. I was so shocked that my limbs became numb. I stayed there for 10 minutes before I decided to blog about these events. The whole time I felt so uncomfortable that I kept turning from side to side every few seconds. It is nearly midnight now and I must go to bed. That was really spooky and I will never again open a door in the middle of the night.

A Problem I Encountered And How I Solved Or Managed It
It was a very frustrating day but I managed to endure and pull through it. The day begins with school as usual. I had no mood to study. Yesterday was a tiring day with tons of homework. There were a few moments which really made me want to pull my hair out. Firstly, it was time for assembly and our monitor told us to leave and head to the assembly ground. I dug my bag trying to search for my book but to no avail. I scratched my head and grumbled. Guess I didn’t bring a book to school. I prepared myself to stand in front of the whole school and be humiliated. Out of nowhere, my friend came to me and asked whether I needed a book since I wasn’t holding one. I nodded and he gave me a book. Finally, luck is on my side.
The lessons continued and the homework just kept piling up. There were also many projects to be done. I was so tired and uninterested in studying that I kept my head on the table the throughout the whole day. During PE lesson, after doing the high jump which I pretty much excelled, it was time for floorball. Floorball is usually one of my favourite and fun games but today just wasn’t meant to be. My group was very weak but the other team had many good players. We were beaten by the score of 4-10(it was actually more but that was the last score that I remembered). One of the players scored 8 goals on his own and I was so pissed but there was nothing that I could do. So I just took a deep breathe trying to calm myself down when we conceded a goal. I continued to play trying hard to forget that my team is getting thrashed. Alas, all the hard work paid off. I scored two goals and that was something to be proud off.
I had no hard feelings with the other team and I knew we had tried the best. That is what matters the most. I left the indoor sports hall with my head held high. I congratulated the other team and praised my opponents that they will someday represent the school. I hope that the following days would be less frustrating and I prayed that all the mistakes I had committed will not be repeated again.

A Special Moment I Enjoyed With My Family
Yesterday, I had a memorable moment with my family. It was a really joyful occasion and I will probably never forget about it. On Saturday, my auntie had just given birth to a girl. She and my uncle decided to name her Afrina. She was going home the next day so my whole family decided to host a family gathering at their house to commemorate the birth of their daughter. I was so excited to meet the baby as I wanted to see how cute she was. So my family members decided to cook a different dish each to make a buffet in my auntie’s house. My mother decided to make a dish called ayam masak merah which is fried chicken with lots of chilli. It is very popular among the Malays. It was so tasty that my mother had to prevent me from eating it. My family got ready and my mother packed the food in containers. Without wasting anymore time, we went down to our car.
During the journey inside the car, the smell of the food hovered in the air. It smelled so delicious that my stomach kept on grumbling along the way. When we reached my auntie’s house, the door was wide open with a lot of foot wears outside. She recited a greeting and went in. We followed closely behind her and the atmosphere inside her house seemed warm as everybody was happy. I went to each of my family members who was older than me and kissed their hands. It was a form of greeting and respect in Islam. I went to my auntie’s bedroom and saw her lying on her bed with her baby in her arms. By the look on her face, I can tell she was extremely tired. I went to her and kissed her hand too. My mother came in and also greeted her. They talked casually before my mother requested to carry cradle the baby. Clearly she was far more interested in the baby than anything else. My mother squealed in delight and awe as it was the first time she saw a baby face to face in a few months. She rocked the baby from side to side as gently as possible trying as hard not to upset the baby. I craned my neck to catch a glimpse of the baby. It was the cutest thing I’ve seen in my life and my knees immediately went soft. She was so fragile and her eyes were kept closed the entire time. I guess she was as tired as her mother too.
Soon enough, all my family members came. We recited many prayers to offer protection for the newborn child and to welcome her to the world. After that, I quickly queued up and feast upon many delicious dishes cooked by my family members. I was so full that I couldn’t get up at first. But my cousins forced me up and I eventually spent the whole day playing with my cousins. Time flew by so fast that it was finally night time. We decided to clean up before leaving the house since the family gathering was hosted at their house. My grandmother decided to stay at the house to take care of her and the baby. We bade farewell to one another as it will probably be a long time when we could actually meet again. It was a tiring day but it was very enjoyable to spend the time with my family members. I went home and didn’t think of anything else. There was only one word on my mind with one simple meaning. Sleep.

something that took place in school
Today I woke up at 5.30 as usual. Automatically, I dragged my feet to the bathroom to take a shower. The water was freezing cold that morning so I had to turn on the water heater. Ahh...the warm water felt extremely good when it came in contact with my body. It was so relaxing and I just wanted to stay there forever...okay, let’s get on with the boring part. I bathed, brushed my teeth, dried myself, wore my school uniform, prayed, had breakfast, packed my bag, when out and took the newspaper, read it, look at my watch... oh fish! I'm so late. I quickly took my bag said goodbyes to my mum and went off.
I reached Victoria school in 45 minutes. I went to my classroom at the third floor. As I walked through the hallway I saw dozens of people sleeping, in fact they were snoring. I came to my class, put my bag down and sat down watching people went by. It reminds me of beggars, hehe. Well the uncle with the classroom keys came and unlocks our classroom doors. I went in and did nothing. Some enthusiasts in our class kept talking about today’s lessons and how interesting it will be. Well we had assembly in the hall and went for maths lesson. Okay maths lesson was like a bullet train. The teacher stuffed us with so much information until I became blur. Well you probably wondered about the person beside me. His reaction was ….
It was so confusing he was like …………
Okay, the only reaction from him was "-.-
Well, after that hectic lesson. We had science. The only thing that popped out on my mind was VIDEOS! The lesson was so far the best of the day. We studied acids and bases which was quite interesting. Before we know it, it was recess. My friends went out to the field to play soccer. The football field was booked by the PE lessons from other class so they went to the indoor sports hall. Unfortunately, the indoor sports hall was also full. All this time I chuckled to myself. Finally they went to play soccer in a tennis court! It was so retarded. No offence guys, but seriously, all of them played like some kindergarten kids who just learnt how to kick a ball. Okay I’m part of it too since I kept kicking the ball to other side of the tennis court. It was quite fun actually, haha.
Ring! Recess has just ended. We quickly went back to our class for literature lesson.
SKIP.
Okay there was one particular moment that I would like to share. Here it goes. The teacher long said that those who did not bring their reading programme books on a reading programme lesson would get their name written and sent to the discipline master. So one of my classmates being safe since he had a book in his hands kept on prompting the teacher to write one of the pupil name down and it practically backfired on him. The teacher came to him and screamed," WHY ARE YOU READING YOUR BOOK UPSIDE DOWN?" Sure enough he was holding his book upside down. Oh boy. Seems like he just booked a one way ticket to the discipline master’s office. That was really what I called ‘stupidness’.
Okay so the hours dragged on and we had history and literature lesson at the end. BORING!
SKIP.
Finally school ended. It was a funny and interesting day really. Notice that I don’t use the real names for all the negative things I said about them. But for all those people out there, you know who you are. So people please read this quickly and share it to others. Goodbye!

A moment spent alone doing something i enjoyed
Last Saturday, I spent most of my day alone at home and also ventured to other places that evening practically on my own. I woke up that morning feeling very energetic because it’s finally the weekends! I could finally set my mind off school and relax. I had enough rest after a tiring day of training the day before. I planned to finish all of my homework as soon as possible so I could have all the time in the world to play! Like a lifeless robot, I went to work without a moment's delay. All the distractions around me in the house could not prevent me from finishing my work. urgh, there's so much homework I groaned.
Hours went by and before I know it, the house was empty. My parents had to attend a wedding ceremony and my siblings had gone out with their friends. It was half past two and my stomach kept on grumbling since I have not eaten anything except for a piece of bread which I consumed in the morning. After I had scrumptious meal, I had no mood to continue with my work. All I had in my mind was to log on to the computer and chat with my friends. I instantly logged into windows live messenger and chatted with my friends for hours. Eventually, I became bored and wanted to do something adventurous. I wanted to ride on my bicycle and explore interesting places that I have never visited before. I asked my friend who lives nearby to accompany me. He declined as he has tuition that evening. Feeling disappointed, I jumped onto my bed and lay there like a stone. Finally I made up my mind and got out of my house with my bicycle.
I cycled around the neighbourhood to warm myself up. My bicycle felt 'heavy' as the tyres was a bit deflated. I went to the nearest gas station to pump my tires which is pretty far. Along the way, there was a long stretch of pathway so I began practising to cycle without using my hands to control the bicycle. I reached my destination and pumped my tyres to the maximum. It felt really 'light' after pumping the tyres. I stopped to decide the next place to explore. I decided to explore Pasir Ris Park and went there using the shortest route available. When I reached there, there many people with their tents camped along the beach. There were spending their time with family and friends and they looked very joyful. I envied them since I spent the whole day on my own. Nevertheless, I kept on cycling. I came across the playground and immediately disembark my bicycle. I played on the giant spider web. It was really shaky at first when I tried to climb but I got the hang of it after a while. I managed to climb to the top and I enjoyed the marvellous view of the sea. It was really windy at the top and I suffered from vertigo. I had no choice but to descend. I also played on the swing. I had to kick the ground hard so that I swung higher as there was no one to push. After that I continued cycling along the coast and visited many interesting sites for example the swamp area and the maze. Soon, I became tired and decide to go home. It was not a bad day after all spending most of my time alone. It was really enjoyable and I planned to cycle somewhere else that is more interesting. I hope you've enjoyed reading this. See you soon!
